Ms Nora dreams of living in a world where learning would be as exciting as a trip to Disneyland, people would burst out in song and dance at the most unexpected moments, connection with nature would be our politics and baked goods our healthiest food.
Ms. Nora started singing before she began to speak. This love for song has led her from the performing stage at the early age of 10 when she joined the school band as a soloist, to more in depth studies as a music high school student in her home country of Romania, and later to the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto, Canada, where she graduated with a Voice performance diploma
Ms. Nora’s piano studies had a rockier start. She was bored out of her mind and she highly disliked practicing. Fear of disappointing her parents was the only motivation for continuing with learning this instrument. That is until one day, when she discovered that she could play pieces she liked and enjoyed. Ms. Nora has been playing piano for fun ever since, growing her skills in the process.
This early experience with piano lessons has led Ms. Nora on a mission to find the best tools and methods to make music learning fun and interesting for her students. For over 15 years, her main focus as a teacher has been to offer a well-rounded musical start to all her students, while instilling a lifelong love and appreciation for music.
When she is not teaching, Ms. Nora can be found on a trail, photographing nature's wonders, in the garden, tending to her flowers, or embarrassing her teenage kids with her dabbing skills.
